IN ĪNEMATIYĀ ĀNĀHUAC: The Sentiment of Anáhuac - August 13, 2021

IN ĪNEMATIYĀ ĀNĀHUAC

The Sentiment of Anáhuac

August 13, 2021

Taking into account the historical horizon of the anniversary of the 500 years of dispossession, colonization, and genocide that our Indigenous Peoples of Anáhuac have survived since August 13, 1521;

Realizing the inherent and permanent cultural, political, and ecological will that We the Peoples and Original Nations of Anáhuac maintain by virtue of our international right of Self  Determination;

Recalling and reaffirming that the limits of our ancestral territories as Indigenous Peoples and Confederations of Indigenous Nations of Anáhuac are not prescribed under any colonizing or legaloid concept such as the Doctrine of the Discovery of Christendom, nor the international borders imposed with the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (1848);

Denouncing the imposition of the Discovery Doctrine of 1492 as the legaloid basis which the Mexican state claims in order to usurp and violate our territories without moral or legal justification, embodied in the concept of Original Property of the Nation which was instituted nationally with the Constitution of Mexico 1917;

We repudiate and reject this racist, discriminatory and feudal policy that the current Mexican state continues to normalize in a predatory and oppressive way against our collective rights as Original Peoples of Anáhuac, particularly in the cases of megadevelopment projects;

We reaffirm and proclaim here our IN ĪNEMATIYĀ ĀNĀHUAC, our feelings and reason as Original Peoples of Anahuac, Indigenous Peoples equal in right to all other peoples of the world;

We make the call throughout the breadth and depth of Anahuac to realize the termination and formal repeal in the political scheme of the Mexican state of the nefarious Doctrine of Discovery and the legaloid concept of Original Property of the Nation, as a dehumanizing and genocidal instrument that continues to normalize the dispossession and annihilation of our Indigenous Peoples,

We proclaim the date of August 13, 2021 as the date of a definitive resolution and in the spirit of Self Determination as Original Nations of Indigenous Peoples of Anáhuac, we will take the necessary actions to realize justice for our Indigenous Peoples, with the purpose of not allowing the passing of yet another 500 more years of the destruction of our Sacred Mother Earth.

Therefore, we declare our O’odham communities as a tribe of the O’odham in Sonora as determined by our own political, economic, and social policies.  The O'odham in Sonora, which is recognized under international law with our right as such is indicated in the United Nations Declaration on the Right of Indigenous Peoples (articles: 3,4,5, 6,7,8, 9 AND 10), and Convention 169 of the International Labor Organization. We were never a product of the Doctrine of Discovery of other peoples, which we reject categorically and permanently.

Western Shoshone Self Determination and the Doctrine of Discovery

Western Shoshone Nation v. United States of America
January 4, 2021

Yet in none of these proceedings and determinations has the legal issue which is the contextual core of the dispute been raised that could clarify the fundamental question:

Specifically, what is the legal foundation for the claim that the government of Mexico in 1848 had authorization to transfer valid land title and jurisdiction, in this case over Western Shoshone territory, to the US government?

The US-Mexico international border is today a fully functioning instrument of empire. It is simultaneously a 2,000-mile-long scar and an open wound. The border is a militarized monument to white supremacy formulated and made necessary by the racist ideology of American Manifest Destiny, both in its historical expression which was the motivation for the war with Mexico in 1846, and its present contemporary “Festering Destiny” extrapolation in the form of the “Trump Wall” border project. The pathological racist tenets of Manifest Destiny, both past and present, are rooted in the false narrative of cultural supremacy of Christendom, whose geopolitical context of “America” has been informed, normalized, and institutionalized by the Doctrine of Discovery. The historical meme of collective cognition being Christopher Columbus and the date of October 12, 1492 (Gregorian).

TONATIERRA - Message to Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission: Human Rights of Indigenous Peoples in the Americas

November 23, 2020

A comprehensive historical understanding and analysis of the systematic human rights violations against Indigenous Peoples in the Americas [North-Central-South] must necessarily integrate a critical position in regard to the nefarious and racist Doctrine of Discovery of Christendom (October 12, 1492) which continues to be normalized by the successor states across the continent.

Tomando en cuenta el horizonte histórico del aniversario de los 500 años de despojo, colonización, e genocidio que nuestros Pueblos Originarios de Anáhuac hemos sobrevivido desde la fecha 13 agosto 1521;

Realizando la inherente y permanente voluntad cultural, político, y ecológico que mantenemos los Pueblos y Naciones Originarias de Anáhuac en virtud de nuestro derecho internacional de Libre Determinación;

Recordando y reafirmando que los limites de nuestros territorios ancestrales como Pueblos Originarios y Confederaciones de Naciones Indígenas de Anáhuac no se prescriben bajo ningún concepto colonizadora o legaloide como es la Doctrina del Descubrimiento de la Cristiandad, ni las fronteras internacionales impuestas con el Tratado de Guadalupe Hidalgo (1848);

Denunciando la imposición de la Doctrina del Descubrimiento como base legaloide que el estado Mexicano sigue utilizando sin justificación moral o legal sobre nuestros territorios, plasmado en el concepto de Propiedad Originaria de la Nación, instituido con la Constitución de México 1917;

Repudiamos y rechazamos esta política racista, discriminatoria y feudal que el estado Mexicano actual sigue normalizando de forma depredadora y opresivo contra nuestros derechos colectivos como Pueblos Originales de Anáhuac, en particular en los casos de los megaproyectos;

23 Noviembre, 2020
