Indigenous Peoples March of Self Determination and Dignity

Hajun (relatives) on behalf of the O'otham Hemuckam (Peoples Nations), of Arizona/Northern Mexico, we call on you to join us and stand against racism, xenophobia, and the ongoing hatred towards marginalized communities and People of color.

We call on you to march along side us in solidarity as we take to the streets of Phoenix. Come dressed in your traditional regalia, bring your drums and banners... Let's show the Trump administration that we will not allow his bigotry, and white supremacy to go unchecked. That we will defend our land, our people and that we will stand with those who recognize justice and equality.

On Tuesday August 22, 2017 , Trump is scheduled to hold a rally at the convention center in downtown Phoenix. We understand that his supporters are planning on being there in great numbers, but we also have numbers, and more importantly we have the spiritual backing of our ancestors.

We want to show the world that the Original Peoples of O'otham jevedga (land/earth) are here and will remain here to protect the well being of all Earth's citizens.

The Indigenous Peoples will lead this march, one of many, that will converge on the convention center.

We ask that you come with a good heart, we will not respond in violence, we will come together in strength and unity. The O'otham Hemuckam calls on all our Native and non-Native friends to join us, we call on all the traditional people, runners, spiritual leaders, and singers.

We call on our allies, and organizations, native riders and conscious people.

We will gather at NAHUACALLI, Embassy of Indigenous Peoples located at 802 N. 7th Street, in downtown Phoenix.

The March will start at 5pm.

There will be food served from 3-5 PM. If your caravanning from out of town or out of state, you are welcome to camp on the Salt River Rez, we'll also have limited space at the Nahuacalli. The march route is about a mile long so dress comfortable.

Remember we are going in prayer and unity, so come and stand with us.

PLEASE SHARE!... Stand Strong People!!

When the Adivasi, Indigenous Peoples of the Indian subcontinent, relate their experiences under the colonizing regimes that have swept their homelands, even references to Alexander the Great are preceded by the invasions of the Aryans and the introduction of the “white” concept of human cultural identity and superiority as the determinant for the caste systems that continue to plague the cultural landscape of India even after five thousand years.

To fast forward to the current dialogue on race and institutionalized racism in US society that was intensified by the 2008 presidential campaign, every day we see and HEAR echoes of the memes of caste that are reinforced every time the phrase “white people” or “white” is used to describe the European American populations of the United States. That perpetuation of a caste based society would be completely antithetical to the precepts of the “American Experiment of Democracy,” yet remain embedded in the vernacular of public and private discourse regarding social relationships has roots in the Indo-European histories, but is codified in the US Civil Rights statutes as follows:

The call to "modernize" NAFTA conveniently does not mention the right of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent of Indigenous Peoples which became an international standard for economic development projects impacting Indigenous Peoples and their territories on September the 13, 2007 upon adoption of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples by the United Nations General Assembly.

What is being modernized is today's vision and version of the "Big House", the "Rancho Grande", the North American corporate hacienda-plantation of the global supra-national corporate Empire of Petropolis, with D.Trump as its Clown King stooge.

The Empire is naked. It has no clothes.

It has vestments, and investments.
