Territorial Integrity of Mother Earth

Good greetings relatives,

It has happened once before. It needs to happen again, and now.

When the first representatives of Christendom first arrived in the continent of the Great Turtle Island Abya Yala, they brought a cultural schema of imperialism and materialism that was driven by a patriarchal hierarchy led by the Vatican. Fundamental to this schema of hierarchy was a calendar system based on the that of the Roman Empire, modified by Pope Gregory XIII in October 1582. For this reason, the common calendar of our times is known as the Gregorian Calendar. Although the modifications made to the calendar were intended to correct inaccuracies in the “official” dating of the equinoxes and solstices which did not correspond to observed reality, the calendar remained an extrapolation of the geocentric theory of the Western World of Christendom.

Inspired by the cultural principles and practices of the Original Calendars of the Indigenous Peoples of the Great Turtle Island Abya Yala, the time has once again come to push beyond the envelope of the agenda of world view derived from a reductionist space-time paradigm that holds human consciousness captive in world view that does not correspond to cosmetric reality.

The commodification of nature begins with the commodification of Mother Earth. Listening to the speculative market forecasts today out of Wall Street, one hears ancient echoes of the Legend of Marduk, who as a 5,000 year old cultural hero of Mesopotamia achieved his status by killing his mother at birth and creating his civilization from her body. Markets systems that allow for the externalization of costs to the environment and future generations are not going to significantly allow human society as a whole to move towards equilibrium and achieve homeostasis with the natural world of which we are a part. Costs that are only quantified in the financial systems of capital, are not realistic since there is no means to relate to the Earth as Mother, but only property to be warred over, or bought and sold in a society where time is money.

Dear Arizona Senators Kelly and Synema,

On September 24, 2021, we submitted a Freedom of Information Request along with the WATER PROTECTOR LEGAL COLLECTIVE requesting disclosure of records related to the case of the Forced Disappearance of the 43 Ayotzinapa students on September 26, 2014, in Iguala Guerrero, Mexico.

On May 24, 2021, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador communicated he had received files from the United States regarding the investigation of the 2014 Ayotzinapa disappearances and subsequent criminal coverup by officials of the Mexican government. President Lopez Obrador received these files after a virtual meeting with Vice President Harris on May 7, 2021.

The TONATIERRA Human Rights Commission has accompanied the parents and families of the 43 Ayotzinapa students for over seven years now in their attempts to bring accountability and justice to the case.

We ask for your assistance in bringing to light the relevant information as outlined our FOI request and will now follow up with your offices to arrange for a meeting to discuss the particulars of the Human Rights issues involved.

Sincerely,

Tupac Enrique Acosta

Freedom of Information Request to the Biden administration for US government files on the investigation of the Forced Disappearance of the 43 Ayotzinapa students missing since September 26, 2014, in Mexico

On September 24, 2021, a Freedom of Information Act submitted to the Biden Administration by TONATIERRA and the WATER PROTECTOR LEGAL COLLECTIVE soliciting disclosure of the files related to the US government’s investigation into the Forced Disappearance of the 43 students from Ayotzinapa Rural Teachers’ College missing since September 26, 2014.

On May 24, 2021, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador communicated he had received files from the United States regarding the investigation of the 2014 Ayotzinapa disappearances and subsequent criminal coverup by officials at the highest levels of the Mexican government. President Lopez Obrador received these files after a virtual meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris on May 7, 2021.

In October of 2020, former Mexican defense minister Gen. Salvador Cienfuegos Zepeda was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport at the request of the Drug Enforcement Administration to face drug and money-laundering charges in the United States, according to a federal law enforcement official.  General Cienfuegos was apparently known as “El Padrino,” or The Godfather, by one of Mexico’s most violent drug cartels. Officials said General Cienfuegos directed military operations away from the criminal group in exchange for large sums of cash. But the Justice Department abruptly dropped the case against him in November, and he was allowed to return to Mexico.

In January 2021, the authorities in Mexico said they will bring no charges against General Cienfuegos.

Another former top Mexican official accused of compromising the Ayotzinapa investigation is living in refuge in Israel while an extradition case against him is mired in a diplomatic tussle over Israel’s treatment of Palestinians.

The Mexican authorities have accused the official, Tomás Zerón de Lucio, the former director of Mexico’s equivalent of the F.B.I., of abduction, torture and tampering with evidence in the investigation into the disappearance of 43 students in 2014, and of embezzling about $50 million in state funds in another case.

Israel has not acted on either the extradition request or the asylum claim, much to the consternation of Mexican officials, human rights organizations, and the families of the victims, who are still seeking the truth about their loved ones’ disappearance seven years ago on September 26, 2014.

The request for records to the US government submitted under the Freedom of Information Act will hopefully shed light on how Tomás Zerón was able to travel from Mexico to Canada before fleeing to Israel, in spite of being the subject of an arrest warrant by a federal judge in Mexico. A request to the Canadian government regarding this issue on June 29, 2020, by the Indigenous Activist Network in Canada never received a response from Prime Minister Trudeau.

Credible and corroborated reporting of the violent incident of September 26, 2014, in Iguala, Guerrero has established that the Mexican military was monitoring a clandestine shipment of heroin worth $2 million that was hidden in two buses on which the some of the students were traveling. The students were unaware of the smuggling operation. The heroin was to be delivered via the international drug cartel network to sites of distribution in Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago, Illinois.

Yet, over the past seven years, there has been no disclosure or information from the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) on what the role of the agency had prior, during, and subsequent to the Forced Disappearance of the Ayotzinapa 43.

According to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, the term Forced Disappearance refers to the secret abduction or imprisonment of a person by a state or political organization, or by a third party with the authorization, support, or acquiescence of a state or political organization, followed by a refusal to acknowledge the person's fate and whereabouts, with the intent of placing the victim outside the protection of the law.

The crime of "Forced Disappearance" qualifies as a crime against humanity, not subject to a statute of limitations, in international criminal law. On 20 December 2006, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance.

Tonantzin and El Sexto Sol

Nine days before the arrival of the Huitziltonal (Sun of the Winter Solstice) on December 21st, the traditional Nahuatlaca ceremonies of the Izkaloteka begin with preparations and offerings which are placed on the altars of Tonantzin, Our Sacred Mother Earth.

The highest altars are found in the Sacred Mountains.

Although visible at all times, these altars are only evident in the light of sacred sight which emanates from the
OrigiNations of the Indigenous Peoples who are the caretakers of the Territorial Integrity of Mother Earth.

The Cop-out at COP26 in Glasgow

The Cop-out at COP26 in Glasgow

The “net zero” approach to the global climate crisis which subverted the agenda of the recent Conference of the Parties 26 at Glasgow, Scotland under the convening of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will never address the core issues of the climate chaos which now envelops all humanity and threatens the future generations.  “Net zero” is a scam, a corporate cop-out deliberately and falsely being presented as a solution to the unabated rise in the disastrous effects of carbon emissions into the atmosphere due to the fossil fuel industry’s command economy death grip over the governments of the UN system.  The ministers of public governance bow to the neoliberal demand for corporate profits and deny the real and present threat to the well-being of Mother Earth and the future generations.

The “net zero” brand is a scam of literally biblical proportions, splattering the bloody blessings of government funding and the externalization of environmental costs upon the corporate golden calf of blind greed and the materialism of the capitalist consumer.

“Net zero” is not only a false solution to the climate chaos scenario, it does not even address the fundamental issues of conflict in the present age of corporate colonization that drives the global geopolitical agenda of the UN.

No one is a party to murder; you are an accomplice to homicide.  And just as there is NOT to be a hearing in the World Court on the ongoing GENOCIDE against the Indigenous Peoples who are fighting the corporate agenda in all parts of what is left of the Natural world, no corporation is going to be charged with TERRACIDE by any body of the UN system.

Any real hope for homeostasis of global human society with the environment will require as foundation the roots-grass cultural principles of community ecology: Respect, Inclusion, Complementarity and Self Determination.

The CALM in the storm: Conscious Acts of Liberation and Meaning.

Response, and not reaction. The time is now.
